Understanding the Barriers to Girls’ Education in Northern Ghana
Many girls in Northern Ghana face barriers that prevent them from staying in school, including teenage pregnancy, early marriage, poverty and post-Covid dropout trends. A study by Songtaba revealed that 2,765 girls did not return to school after Covid-19 closures.
