Salifu Harruna

Salifu Harruna is a development practitioner with over five years’ of experience working in communities to contribute to a positive change in the socio-economic and cultural status of the marginalized.

Harruna holds a Bachelor of Arts, Integrated Development Studies in Economics and Entrepreneurship Development and Master of Philosophy in Agricultural Economics all from the University for Development Studies. After his first degree, he fulfilled his mandatory National Service with the Northern Regional Economic Planning Unit at the Northern Regional Coordinating Council from 2014 to 2015.

He later from 2016 to 2018, joined Oxfam Ibis as a Project Officer for the Complementary Basic Education programme with out-of-school children being the main target. His contribution saw the enrolment of over 5200 out-of-school children into formal schools and also led to the successful takeover of implementation by the Ghana Education Service for continuity. He moved on to join CALID-GHANA, from 2019 to 2021 as the Monitoring Evaluation and Learning Manager and also coordinating activities of project officers.

He managed the narrative reports of the organization and supervised the collection of complete data. Again, form July 2021 to present, Harruna works with Songtaba as the Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning Manager. As part of his responsibilities; he manages the narrative reports, coordinates field monitoring and outcomes harvesting, developed data collection and reporting tools.
